Description

The AirSpade 5000 Utility kit enables safe and efficient exposure of sensitive infrastructure. Perfect for digging around cables and lines without risk of damage.

The kit contains the powerful AirSpade 5000 Utility air-excavation tool with an AirSpade Supersonic nozzle for superior digging performance. Perfect for safe exposure of underground electricity, gas, water and telecommunication lines. In-line handle designed for applications where you prefer to grip the tool in a vertical position.

The AirSpade 5000 Utility harnesses the power of compressed air by using the high-performance, proprietary AirSpade Supersonic nozzle. The nozzle is made of spark-free bronze and generates a laser-like air jet that moves at twice the speed of sound for faster and more efficient digging.

Rugged, lightweight aluminium handle with a full-size grip opening to accommodate the lineman's gloves. A comfortable plastic grip provides thermal protection and some degree of electrical insulation. Dead-man trigger for safe operation and a trigger guard that prevents accidental activation. An integrated pressure gauge ensures optimal digging performance. 3/4” NPT compressed-air inlet equipped with a 3/4” swivelling universal coupling.

A screw-on, electrically insulated fibreglass barrel with a voltage rating of 300 kV protects the operator from buried high-voltage lines. Brass barrels and connections minimise the risk of spark formation. An adjustable rubber dirt shield deflects soil and debris. The set also contains a 225 kV-rated, insulated 3-foot fibreglass extension with brass coupling, a 45-degree spark-free angled brass adapter, a 1” x 10' lightweight air hose and a heavy-duty, lockable storage bag.
