Edelrid X-PE 12.3 mm Lanyard is a static work positioning lanyard with factory-stitched end terminations at both ends. 25 kN breaking strength on the stitched eyes, 16 kN if you tie a figure-eight knot yourself.
Manufactured in Germany by Edelrid. Polyester sheath, 12.3 mm diameter, 118 g/m, static elongation 2.2%.
Lengths
Three lengths to choose from. 3m for short positioning jobs, 4m for standard SRT work, 6m for longer systems or double anchor points.
Why stitched eyes at both ends
Two factory-stitched eyes are an upgrade from a figure-eight knot in several ways. 9 kN higher breaking strength. No rope attachment to wear out. You don't lose 30–40 cm of usable length to the knot. And no water or dirt penetrating the core at the knot point.
