TreeHog Lowering Device

The TreeHog THLD 2 is a robust lowering device for tree felling that attaches to the tree trunk. Easily control the lowering of branches and avoid shock loading.

The TreeHog THLD 2 is a heavy-duty lowering bollard specially developed for arborists and tree fellers. It is securely mounted to the base of the tree trunk with two robust strap systems with tensioning devices. The kit comes in a practical carrying bag made of durable PVC material for easy transport and storage.

Mount the THLD 2 to the base of the tree trunk with the included strap systems. Then wrap the lowering rope several times around the main tube to create controlled friction in the system. This gives ground personnel full control over the lowering of cut branches and prevents shock loading on the rigging system and the tree.

The THLD 2 has been tested with a maximum breaking strength of 50 kN, which gives a safe working load of 10 kN. Two interchangeable rubber pads on the back protect the tree trunk from chafing and damage.
