Description
Description
The Petzl I'D Large is a robust and versatile self-braking descender with an anti-panic function, specially designed for technical rescue and professional use. Featuring an AUTO-LOCK system and an ergonomic handle, it provides safe, controlled descents for loads up to 280 kg.
Features
- Designed for rescue: A safety gate on the movable side plate makes it easy to install the rope while the device remains connected to the harness.
- Easy to use: Rope guide and markings facilitate installation. The anti-error catch reduces the risk of accidents from incorrect mounting.
- Ergonomic handle: Allows for rope release and comfortable control of the descent. Two descent modes: on the side plate or in the V-shaped friction channel.
- Anti-panic function: Automatically stops the descent if the user pulls too hard on the handle.
- AUTO-LOCK system: Positioning without handle manipulation or securing – the rope locks automatically when the handle is released. Automatic return reduces the risk of snagging.
- Automatic storage position: The handle retracts when the rope is removed, reducing the risk of snagging on the harness.
- Versatile: Rope can be taken up without handle manipulation for reversible winch systems or short ascents. Cam can be operated for slack or belaying a lead climber.
- Side plate locks with a screw: Suitable for integration into rescue kits.
- Auxiliary brake: Open or closed, improves control depending on weight and rope diameter.
- Stainless steel wear plate: Reinforces the friction zone and increases durability.
