The pole is a mechanical tree felling guide that can push trees in the desired direction or act as a support, even if the tree's natural direction of fall is different. The pole provides safe tree felling even with very difficult trees. The pole is made in one size with a maximum pressure of 2600 kg.

The pole consists of a crank and a gear box, which drives a rack and pinion extension. The crank can be cranked forward to increase pressure, or backward to decrease pressure. The pole has a unique release that allows you to crank forward and backward with full load without the user having to push up a “detent device”. This prevents “kickback” even if the crank is released.

The choice of materials and the quality of the work at Stalpen are of the utmost importance as we know that safety in forestry work is the highest priority. The Stalpen is designed to withstand large forces such as overhangs, gusts of wind and incorrect inclinations of the tree. The mechanics of the Stalpen are very reliable as they only consist of gears and racks. We do not use wires, nylon bands or other variants for the drive. All to minimize the risk of entanglement and wear of materials.

The pole does not replace a winch or other special machines for difficult and risky work. Judgement and professional experience are always important when felling.
