ART Rope Guide 2010 Cocoon 5

ART Rope Guide 2010 Cocoon 5 is a patented friction saver that combines extremely low weight, high safety and optimal rope feed for arborist climbing. The unique TunnelRing design with integrated rope raises the breaking load to approx. 24 kN, protects the rope and offers double the safety compared with traditional rings.

The ART Rope Guide 2010 Cocoon 5 builds on the best features of previous models with ground-breaking innovations: ultra-light construction (approx. 520 g for 150 cm), higher load capacity and exceptional safety. The TunnelRing concept uses only 50% of the weight of a solid ring but achieves comparable strength and higher safety. The rope inside the ring is perfectly protected, and the rope-ring symbiosis mutually raises the breaking load. The runner crosses both ring and eye for maximum safety. The ZipAbsorber 1 integrated shock absorber activates at 4 kN (approx. 900 lbs) to minimise shock loading. The Cocoon roller gives silky-smooth rope feed, perfect for ropes up to 13 mm. Easy manual installation, remote retrieval with the DoubleSnapper 3. Service life: 10 years for metal parts, 5 years for textile parts.
