Description

Courant Squir 2.0 - Per metre (Red/Yellow)

The new **Courant Squir 2.0** has been developed specifically for **SRT (Single Rope Technique)** and access work in tree crowns. This low-stretch static kernmantel rope is perfect for arborists who require high performance in work at height, work positioning and rescue operations. The rope offers optimal compatibility with mechanical devices such as ascenders, descenders and friction brakes thanks to its **11.5 mm diameter** and X-Braid core, which gives precisely **2% static stretch** under load in the tree[1][2].

The sheath is made of **heat-treated polyamide** for increased wear resistance and resistance to heat, while the core with **32 strands** ensures minimal stretch and high strength. Courant has optimised the diameter to 11.5 mm for smooth operation with a wide range of equipment, including devices certified to EN 1891 Type A. The rope is marked to standard and is excellently suited for demanding arboricultural applications[3].

Features

  • X-Braid core: Provides precisely 2% stretch for stable control during SRT and access.
  • Heat-treated polyamide sheath: Improved wear and heat resistance.
  • Optimal diameter (11.5 mm): Smooth compatibility with ascenders, descenders and other mechanical devices.
  • Low weight (91 g/m): Minimises load during long climbing days.
  • High breaking strength (3,000 daN): Exceeds EN 1891 Type A requirements (min. 22 kN / 2,200 daN) for safety in critical situations.
  • Red/yellow colour combination: High visibility in tree crowns for increased safety.
  • Certified EN 1891 Type A: Meets European standards for low-stretch ropes in work at height[1].
