Description

The Distel Alu Plus 3.1 climbing spurs with Weaver Strap offer maximum comfort and low weight for arborists. Designed with ergonomics in mind and made in Germany for the highest quality.

Developed for all arborists who value maximum comfort, low weight and high quality.

The shank from the renowned DMM forge impresses with its ergonomic design at every level:

Maximum comfort: The forward-offset and angled aluminium shank offers an optimised ergonomic fit. Combined with the extra-wide 45 mm foot bridge, the load is distributed evenly under the midfoot, making even longer standing work sessions possible.

Extremely light: The aluminium shank minimises weight and enables many hours of work without fatigue.

Durable: Premium anodising from DMM protects the aluminium against corrosion even under the toughest conditions.

Well protected: The Vibram® rubber sole on the underside of the shank protects the aluminium and provides a firm grip on branches.

Sustainable production: Modern manufacturing techniques, short and preferably regional supply chains, fair working conditions at a German production facility and a high-quality, long-lasting product ensure the smallest possible ecological footprint.

Pads Plus

  • Extra padding for the shin and calf is provided by a foam pad that is 50% larger than its predecessor. Pads Plus wraps around almost the entire leg.
  • An optimal fit in the shell – and ultimately on the user's leg – is achieved thanks to the calf's grid structure.
  • The grid structure provides point-by-point pressure distribution, giving the user an increased subjective feeling of comfort.
  • 20 mm thick foam cushions every pressure point and impact.

Climbing spurs with black Teflon® (PTFE) coating

  • Precision-cast quality steel from southern Germany.
  • Special heat treatment that gives a structure with an optimal balance between hardness and toughness.
  • Rockwell C hardness (HRC): 50.
  • PTFE (Teflon®) is a highly developed plastic that greatly reduces friction and release torque, for example in aluminium sleeves. Easier release of the climbing spur from the tree saves effort and reduces strain.
  • Pre-sharpened, extremely sharp climbing spurs – ready for immediate use.
