FUSE

FUSE is an advanced guided-type fall arrester that redefines safety for work at height. It is approved for users up to 140 kg and provides unrivalled smoothness and safety.

FUSE sets a new standard for guided-type fall arresters. It is the only belay device on the market for a load of up to 140 kg that meets all applicable standards in Europe and North America. From the very first metre it glides along the rope with outstanding ease. This is achieved through a new, sophisticated attachment to the lever arm.

The separation of the blocking mechanism and its speed-dependent activator – a patent application has been filed – improves the reliability and safety of the device. The device reduces wear on the rope, prevents rope tearing and ensures that the block can be released without the load being fully relieved. This is achieved by avoiding teeth on the clamping cam. If needed, clamping can be activated with a convenient locking function.

FUSE can be attached to and removed from the rope without being separated from the carabiner. In combination with the light and compact DEFUSER energy absorbers (S, L or RESCUE), the maximum arrest force is 30 % below the standard. Different absorption lengths and performance parameters guarantee optimal handling – even for rescue operations and horizontal use.
