Description
Description
The Petzl I'D Large is a robust and versatile self-braking descender with an anti-panic function, specially designed for technical rescue and professional use. With its AUTO-LOCK system and ergonomic handle, it provides safe, controlled lowering of up to 280 kg.
Features
- Designed for rescue: A safety gate on the moving side plate makes it easy to install the rope while the device remains attached to the harness.
- Easy to use: Rope guide and markings make installation easier. Anti-error catch reduces the risk of accidents in the event of incorrect assembly.
- Ergonomic handle: Enables rope release and comfortable control of lowering. Two lowering modes: on the side plate or in the V-shaped friction channel.
- Anti-panic function: Automatically stops the lowering if the user pulls too hard on the handle.
- AUTO-LOCK system: Positioning without operating the handle or securing – the rope locks automatically when the handle is released. Automatic return reduces the risk of jamming.
- Automatic storage position: The handle folds in when the rope is removed, reducing the risk of snagging on the harness.
- Versatile: Rope can be taken in without operating the handle for reversible hauling systems or short ascents. The cam can be operated for slack or belaying a lead climber.
- Side plate locks with a screw: Suitable for integration into a rescue kit.
- Auxiliary brake: Open or closed, improves control depending on weight and rope diameter.
- Stainless steel wear plate: Reinforces the friction zone and increases durability.
