The Petzl I'D Small is designed for professional work at height and rope access. The device combines simplicity, safety and versatility with advanced functions such as anti-panic and the AUTO-LOCK system, which automatically locks the rope when the handle is released.

Features

• Easy to use:
  • A safety gate on the moving side plate makes it easy to install the rope while the device remains attached to the harness.
  • Easy rope installation thanks to a rope guide and clear markings.
  • Anti-error catch reduces the risk of accidents when the device is installed incorrectly on the rope.
  • Ergonomic handle for smooth control of lowering. Two lowering modes: on the side plate or in the V-shaped friction channel.
  • Anti-panic function: Automatically stops the lowering if the user pulls too hard on the handle.
  • Allows smooth movement on sloping or horizontal terrain.
  • AUTO-LOCK system: Locks the rope automatically when the handle is released, for easy positioning at the work station without having to operate the handle or tie off the device. Automatic return of the handle reduces the risk of accidental suspension.
  • The handle automatically folds to the transport position when the rope is removed, which reduces the risk of snagging when carried on the harness.

  • The rope can be taken in after locking without using the handle, perfect for reversible hauling systems or short ascents.
  • The cam can be operated for easy slack feeding or belaying a lead climber with climbing techniques.
  • The moving side plate locks with a screw, allowing integration into a rescue kit.
  • Other brakes (open or closed) can be added for improved control depending on weight and rope diameter.
