Petzl Maestro® S

The Petzl Maestro® S is a descender with an integrated progress-capture pulley, developed for technical rescue operations. It handles heavy loads of up to **250 kg** and is compatible with ropes in a diameter of **10.5 to 11.5 mm**.

The Maestro S is designed for demanding rescue operations where versatility is decisive. The device makes it easier to handle heavy loads during lowering or hauling and can be used in the main system or as a backup belay device. The ergonomic handle and the integrated brake provide comfortable and controlled lowering. The transition from lowering to hauling is instant, without having to move the load. The integrated pulley has a large diameter with a faceted sheave on sealed ball bearings for a high hauling efficiency of **86 %**. The AUTO-LOCK system locks the rope automatically when the handle is not being used, and the rope can be taken in without operating the handle.
