Description
Description
The ISC **Rope Wrench (Double Tether)** is a revolutionary friction device for **SRT climbing** (Single Rope Technique) that has transformed the arborist industry. With a double tether, it creates a "contained double rope system" on a single rope strand by producing a bend in the rope above the climber's hitch. This provides consistent friction throughout the climb, ascent, descent, and lateral movements around the tree – something impossible with traditional double rope technique (DdRT). Easy installation thanks to the midline pin and bolt for quick tether attachment. The device is lightweight, robust, and certified for professional use.
Features
- Revolutionizes SRT climbing with constant friction level at the hitch
- Creates an "S-bend" in the rope for optimal weight distribution between the wrench and the hitch
- Midline pin for easy installation on the climbing rope without detaching the rope
- Hexagonal bolt for quick attachment of rigid double tether
- Easy to handle during ascent, descent, and horizontal movements
- Compatible with favorite hitches such as the Distel (5 wraps recommended)
- Works with ropes from 11–13 mm diameter
- Aluminum construction with stainless steel details for durability and low weight
- CE certified according to EN12278:2007 for climbing devices
- Not intended as primary life support equipment
