Closed Auxiliary Brake (D020EA00)

The closed auxiliary brake is specially designed for Petzl I'D S, I'D L, and I'D EVAC self-braking descenders. It increases friction proportionally to the load's weight and the rope's diameter and provides constant rope redirection. Once the brake is installed, the rope cannot be easily removed, making it ideal for rescue kits and applications where secure and permanent fixation is required.[1][2]

Open Auxiliary Brake (D020DA00)

The open auxiliary brake is designed for the same Petzl I'D models. It allows for increased friction based on load weight and rope diameter, while also allowing the rope to be released at any time for flexible handling during work or rescue.[1][3]
