Description

The ISC Rigging Rope Wrench gives you full control of the load from the canopy. Ideal for small teams and facilitates section felling.

The ISC Rigging Rope Wrench builds on Kevin Bingham’s original Rope Wrench concept of adding friction mid-rope, but inverts it to allow the climber to control the load directly from the canopy.

The device applies friction to the lowering line while anchored at the top of the tree. This means that not only can the device be controlled from the ground, but the line can also be handed over to the climber at the top if they need to take control.

Giving control to the climber is valuable when working in smaller teams, or when ground crew members have difficulty handling both the lowered section and the end of the line simultaneously. With the Rigging Rope Wrench, the climber can control the rope, freeing up the ground crew's hands to guide the section.

From their position in the canopy, the climber can use the device to suspend the weight of the section, allowing the ground crew to easily guide the section away from the work area without lifting or pulling the entire weight. If there is a need to lift a section over an obstacle or apply upward tension, the Wrench disengages and removes friction for a smooth lift.

The Rigging Rope Wrench is optimized for 13 mm (1/2") ropes, making it the ultimate lightweight rigging package when combined with hollow-braid slings.

For added versatility, the Rigging Rope Wrench can be placed in a traditional position at the base of the tree. Here, additional blocks can be mounted to increase mechanical advantage and facilitate lifting heavy loads.

RP292 Unidirectional Locking Bearing

For loads between 20 and 120 kg (44-264 lbs).

The RP292 is equipped with a unidirectional locking wheel that provides extra friction during lowering for better control of heavy loads. When lifting, the wheel rolls freely.
