The Courant AKA Dead Eye Rigging Sling is a high-quality rigging sling with a dead eye design, fitted with a low-friction ring for maximum efficiency and stability in tree work and rigging operations. Its advanced core-sheath construction and easy splicing make it versatile, reliable and easy to use in demanding environments.

COURANT AKA Dead Eye Sling

The AKA rope collection is specially engineered for tree work and other rigging applications. The advanced core-sheath construction delivers exceptional performance under heavy loads and improves efficiency in all rigging operations. The rope's versatility is shown by its easy splicing in all configurations, making it easy to adapt on site. A key feature is the precise twist control of each sheath strand, which maintains optimal stability and minimises unwanted rotation during use. The sling is 4 metres long and fitted with a low-friction ring (Dead Eye) for smooth redirection of rope and blocks. Traditionally used by attaching a block, Portawrap or other equipment to the eye of the sling and tying a choking knot such as a cow hitch or timber hitch with the running end – a simple and effective rigging method.
