Description

The Petzl CHICANE enables the use of the ZIGZAG and ZIGZAG PLUS on single rope, providing extra braking force during descent. Easy installation and ergonomic design make it ideal for arborists.

PETZL CHICANE

The CHICANE additional braking device allows the ZIGZAG and ZIGZAG PLUS mechanical prusiks to be used on single rope (SRT). Compatibility between the CHICANE and the mechanical prusiks ensures smooth rope glide through the brake during ascent and provides continuous extra friction during descent. The ergonomic handle provides an excellent grip and makes movement easier during limb walking in the canopy. Thanks to the opening side plate, installation on the rope is quick and easy.

Approved with both older (pre-2019) and newer versions of the ZigZag. Best used together with the OK Triact-Lock, OK Ball-Lock or Am'D carabiner (not included).

The CHICANE allows the user to work in accordance with the ANSI Z133 standard.

Description:

Makes it possible to use the ZIGZAG and ZIGZAG PLUS mechanical prusiks on single rope
