Description
Description
Petzl ASAP'SORBER energy absorber provides a safe distance from the rope when working at height. Available in different lengths for optimal balance between distance and reduced fall length.
The ASAP'SORBER is an energy-absorbing lanyards with an integrated sling, specifically designed for use with Petzl ASAP or ASAP LOCK mobile fall arresters. It allows for a comfortable and safe working distance from the rope during work at height, such as climbing, rope access, or arborist tasks. The protective sleeve can be opened at both ends for easy inspection of the energy absorber. Available in 20 cm and 40 cm lengths to optimize the balance between user distance and minimal fall height.[1][3]
Features
- Integrated sling for direct connection to ASAP or ASAP LOCK.
- Polyester protective sleeve that protects the sling and allows inspection from both ends.
- Designed to absorb energy during a fall and reduce impact force.
- Optimal for positioning during rope work with reduced fall risk.
- Compatible with standards such as EN 355 and EN 361 (harness).[1][3]
Technical Specifications
- Application: Energy absorber for one person up to 130 kg including equipment.[1]

- Material: High-tenacity polyethylene (strap), polyester (protective sleeve).[1]
- Certification: EN 355:2002.[3]
- Fall clearance: Calculated with fall height, ASAP stopping distance, tearing length, user height, safety margin, and rope elasticity.[1]
Warning: Always check compatibility, inspect, and ensure sufficient fall clearance before use. Follow Petzl's technical instructions.
