Description

**Auxiliary brake for Petzl I'D® descenders**

Auxiliary brake that increases friction and provides better control when lowering on Petzl I'D S, I'D L and I'D EVAC self-braking descenders. Available in **closed** and **open** versions for optimal adaptation to load weight, rope diameter and usage needs.

Closed auxiliary brake (D020EA00)

The closed auxiliary brake is specially designed for Petzl I'D S, I'D L and I'D EVAC self-braking descenders. It increases friction in proportion to the load weight and the rope diameter and provides constant redirection of the rope. When the brake is installed, the rope cannot easily be removed, which makes it ideal for rescue kits and applications where safe and permanent fixing is required.[1][2]

Open auxiliary brake (D020DA00)

The open auxiliary brake is designed for the same Petzl I'D models. It enables increased friction based on load weight and rope diameter, while the rope can be released at any time for flexible handling during work or rescue.[1][3]
