The axe is forged with rounded shapes, making it suitable for chopping fresh, resinous wood, such as spruce and pine. The heavy head and the straight hickory handle provide a lot of power in the cut and optimal balance for demanding felling work. The edge protector is made from vegetable-tanned leather from Tärnsjö Garveri, which is biodegradable and free from heavy metals. The steel is entirely sourced from recycled scrap, and the hickory handle is strong, flexible, and durable. The handle is impregnated with hot linseed oil and treated with beeswax for extra durability and grip.
