How to find the right size of chainsaw trousers
Chainsaw trousers should fit comfortably without pinching or slipping down when you climb. Here we go through the most important aspects.
1. Measure yourself
- Waist: Measure around your waist where the trousers will sit, usually just above the hip bone.
- Inseam: Measure from the crotch to the ankle with bare feet, standing against a wall.
2. Choose a fit
The Arbortec Breatheflex Pro Vented has a slightly wider fit for better airflow. If you prefer a tighter feel, choose one size smaller. If you prefer loose-fitting trousers, stick to your usual size.
3. Choose leg length
Regular fits most people up to approximately 180 cm in height. Long is for those who are 180 cm or taller. If you are on the borderline, choose Long and cut to size if necessary.
4. Safety and class
Our ventilated chainsaw trousers are certified according to EN ISO 11393-2 Class 1 (20 m/s) with front protection. This is the class required for most tree care tasks where chainsaws are used on the ground or with fixed cutting points.
