Description

The ART Blackbird is a versatile ascending and descending device for both single- and double-rope technique. It is approved for rescue and easy to switch between the techniques.

Description

The ART Blackbird will be available in August/September. Follow the product to be the first to know when it becomes available.

The BlackBird from ART is developed to make climbing easier with both single-rope technique (SRS/SRT) and double-rope technique (MRS/DRT). Without any further adjustments or tools, it is possible to switch between the two techniques. The rope does not need to be taken out of the device for this. The construction enables identical descending behaviour with both SRT and MRS. The BlackBird can be opened completely with a push button and can be installed mid-rope without the device needing to be disconnected from the harness.

The integrated swivel ensures optimal positioning in all situations. The upper attachment point for the carabiner is positioned facing away from the user, which allows the rope to be fed easily into the device. The upper attachment point can also be used for V-rigs as well as 3:1 or 4:1 hoisting systems. A ball-bearing pulley enables comfortable handling, even with a little slack in the rope. For individual adjustment, the cam can be rotated on the friction enhancer. An attachment point for a carabiner makes it possible to connect to the chest harness to pull the device up during ascent. The BlackBird is approved for two-person rescue on single rope (SRT) and on double rope (DRT).

All wearing parts are replaceable. The BlackBird is supplied with two cams for different rope diameters.
