Description
Description
The Ultra O is a symmetrical, oval carabiner ideal for rope work, rescue and tree work. Its oval shape provides stable loading and prevents rotation in the system.
Features
- Symmetrical rope baskets: Ideal for assisted-braking devices, pulleys, swivels and slings. Provides stable loading characteristics as attachments can centre themselves under load with minimal movement from the carabiner.
- Oval shape for symmetry: Allows central placement of devices. Popular in rope access and tree care situations where several carabiners, slings, ropes or pulleys are connected together. Equally suitable in fall-protection situations or as part of pre-rigged rescue systems.
- Round basket shape: Allows all connection points to centre themselves under load – avoiding the awkward clicking noise that often occurs with D-shaped carabiners. A symmetrical basket means rotation in the system is not needed; it sits comfortably either way round.
- Keylock clean nose: Snag-free connection. DMM's patented 'Taperlock' closure mechanism increases gate-push strength and cross-gate strength with a special flared profile on the nose of the carabiner, as well as providing snag-free connection for ropes, slings and devices.
- I-beam construction: Increases the strength-to-weight ratio for maximum lightness and durability.
- Hot-forged and heat-treated aluminium: Anodised to BS12373-2001 Class 10E1 for corrosion protection.
- Made in Wales, UK: Individually marked for traceability.
