Description
Description
The Ultra O is a symmetrical, oval karabiner ideal for rope access, rescue and tree work. Its oval shape provides stable loading and prevents rotation in the system.
Features
- Symmetrical rope baskets: Ideal for assisted braking devices, pulleys, swivels and lanyards. Provides stable loading characteristics as attachments can self-centre under load with minimal movement from the karabiner.
- Oval shape for symmetry: Allows for central placement of devices. Popular in rope access and tree care situations where multiple karabiners, lanyards, ropes or pulleys are connected. Equally suitable in fall protection situations or as part of pre-rigged rescue systems.
- Round basket shape: Allows all connection points to self-centre under load - avoiding the unpleasant clicking noise often experienced with D-shaped karabiners. Symmetrical basket means no rotation in the system is needed; it sits comfortably any way round.
- Keylock clean nose: Snag-free attachment. DMM's patented 'Taperlock' closing mechanism increases gate pressure strength and cross gate strength with a special flared profile on the karabiner's nose, as well as providing snag-free attachment for ropes, lanyards and devices.
- I-beam construction: Increases strength-to-weight ratio for maximum lightness and strength.
- Hot forged and heat treated aluminium: Anodised to BS12373-2001 Class 10E1 for corrosion protection.
- Made in Wales, UK: Individually marked for traceability.
