ABSORBICA-I (80 cm) is a compact single lanyard with integrated energy absorber from Petzl, designed for progression on a horizontal lifeline (rope or wire) or elevated platforms without passing intermediate anchor points.

Detailed description

The ABSORBICA-I 80 cm is a single lanyard with a very compact energy absorber that facilitates handling and freedom of movement. It is ideal for work at height where the user needs freedom to move along horizontal systems or platforms. The length without connectors is 70 cm, with a maximum permitted length including connectors of 100 cm in accordance with CE EN 355.[2]

Energy limitation in a fall:
- Progressive tearing of the energy absorber webbing limits the impact force on the user.
- Works for users between 60 and 140 kg (note: CSA Z259.11-17 requires at least 75 kg).[2][3]

Minimal volume and high durability:
- Compact design that does not hinder progression.
- Hard-wearing textile pouch with an opening system at both ends protects the absorber against abrasion and contamination, while allowing regular inspection.[2]
