ABSORBICA-I (80 cm) is a compact single lanyard with integrated energy absorber from Petzl, designed for progression on a horizontal lifeline (rope or steel cable) or elevated platforms without passing intermediate anchor points.
Detailed description
The ABSORBICA-I 80 cm is a single lanyard with a very compact energy absorber that facilitates handling and freedom of movement. It is ideal for work at height where the user needs freedom to move along horizontal systems or platforms. The length without connectors is 70 cm, with a maximum permissible length including connectors of 100 cm according to CE EN 355.[2]
Energy limitation in case of fall:
- Progressive tearing of the energy absorber’s webbing limits the impact force on the user.
- Works for users between 60 and 140 kg (note: CSA Z259.11-17 requires a minimum of 75 kg).[2][3]
Minimum bulk and high durability:
- Compact design that does not hinder progression.
- Durable textile pouch with opening system at both ends protects the absorber from abrasion and contaminants, while allowing for regular inspection.[2]
