Description
Description
ZipAbsorber reduces dangerous impact forces in a fall and protects the climber. It also works as a recovery device and handles challenging working conditions.
ZipAbsorber 1 protects the climber in a fall from dangerous maximum impact forces – just like an airbag. This type of impact force can occur even in "short" falls and can cause serious injury. In a standard test carried out during certification (100 kg falling from 1 m), the ZipAbsorber reliably reduces the impact forces to below 6 kN. Without the shock absorber, the impact forces would almost double!
What makes it so special? Compared with conventional shock absorbers, the ZipAbsorber permanently withstands challenging working conditions without early deployment. In the RopeGuide 2010 it works not only as a shock absorber but also as a recovery device. In line with the ART philosophy, this unit is also available as a spare part.
