DMM Steel Boa HMS Locksafe

The DMM Steel Boa HMS Locksafe is an extremely robust steel carabiner with triple locking (Locksafe) for maximum safety. Made from 12 mm carbon steel with an impressive breaking strength of 40 kN - perfect for demanding applications such as belaying, rigging and safety-critical situations where a large opening and internal volume are required.

This HMS-shaped carabiner combines all the versatility of its aluminium sibling but with superior strength in steel construction. The smooth, rounded internal shape aids rotation through attachment loops, and the curved basket allows loaded components to hang centred, minimising the annoying clicking noises of D-shaped carabiners. The Locksafe system requires three distinct movements to open, providing the highest ease of use and safety even with gloves on.

Ideal as a belay carabiner in combination with dynamic nylon ropes. Zinc-plated to EN ISO 2081:2008 Fe/Zn 5c for excellent corrosion protection.
