DMM Steel Boa HMS Locksafe

The DMM Steel Boa HMS Locksafe is an extremely robust steel carabiner with triple-action locking (Locksafe) for maximum security. Manufactured from 12 mm carbon steel with an impressive breaking strength of 40 kN – perfect for demanding applications such as rope access, rigging, and safety-critical situations where a large opening and internal volume are required.

This HMS-shaped carabiner combines all the versatility of its aluminum sibling but with superior strength in a steel construction. The smooth, rounded internal shape facilitates rotation through attachment loops, and the curved basket allows for centered hanging of loaded components, minimizing uncomfortable clicking sounds from D-shaped carabiners. The Locksafe system requires three distinct movements to open, providing the highest usability and safety even with gloves on.

Ideal as a secondary rope carabiner in combination with dynamic nylon ropes. Zinc-coated according to EN ISO 2081:2008 Fe/Zn 5c for excellent corrosion protection.
