Snake Tail Art

The ART Snake Tail is an extremely versatile connection link and anchor from ART, perfect for arborists in climbing, rope access, and tree felling. With adjustable length in 5 cm increments, a removable grooved ring (NutRing), and high abrasion resistance thanks to 8 mm kernmantle rope with a 50/50 Dyneema/polyester core and polyester sheath, it offers optimal safety for anchoring, positioning, rigging, and friction management.

The Art Snake Tail serves as a reliable connection unit between harness and ascender, or as an anchor, redirect, work positioning, and much more. The unique construction with parallel-stitched 8 mm MegaTwin rope provides minimal stretch, high breaking strength, and excellent abrasion resistance due to its wide contact area. Developed in collaboration with experts, the rope is pleasantly soft to handle while being UV-resistant. The removable NutRing (25 mm inner diameter) allows for variable connections, e.g., with the ART RopeZipper. The segment joints have a static load capacity of up to 4 kN (working load) and shock-absorbing properties from 5 kN through controlled tearing without affecting the breaking strength of the ends. The length is continuously adjustable in 5 cm increments for precise adaptation.
