Description

The CRIC is a versatile rope clamp with integrated hoist, perfect for climbing and rescue situations. This compact and user-friendly unit minimizes the need for additional equipment.

Multifunctional rope clamp with integrated pulley for mountaineering, rope climbing and rescue. Robust, practical and intuitive, it has four different operating modes: ascender, pulley, rope clamp/pulley or pulley for ascent.

Main features:

  • its versatility, compact size and ease of use make it possible to minimize the time, materials and space needed in rope maneuvers;
  • it enables ascent on the rope in accordance with EN 567 / EN 12841-B standards (ascent mode)
  • it can be used as a simple hoist to lift or transfer a load in accordance with the EN 12278 standard (hoist mode);
  • the integrated ball-bearing pulley can be used as a simple redirection to make it easier to climb a rope or to lift a person without the help of additional couplings (rope clamp/hoist mode);
  • it enables direct lifting of a load, creation of traction systems and rescue or self-rescue of a person, as in the case of a victim who has fallen into a crevasse (progress-capture hauling pulley mode);
  • When the rope is used in the hoist position, it can run freely in both directions; when the rope is used in the pull position, it can only run in one direction and is locked in the opposite direction;
  • when used in the traction sheave mode, it is possible to lower the lifted load by acting on the dedicated rope connected to the cam of the unit;
  • the simple opening, via an intuitive release button, makes installation of the device on the rope quick - regardless of the position to be used - even with gloves on or when working in difficult conditions;
  • Equipped with a steel comb with teeth that minimizes wear on the rope but is effective in blocking the rope. In addition, the comb is designed with two grooves to reduce dirt accumulation, so that the lock on the rope is maintained very effectively in all conditions (muddy, frozen rope, etc.).
  • Warning! This equipment is not a fall arrester (EN 353-2 / EN 12841-A) and cannot be used for self-anchoring when climbing.
