Description

The Director Captive Eye is a compact and extremely strong carabiner from DMM, specifically developed as an end carabiner for lanyards and rope systems. Its patented "Rhino horn" design ensures optimal loading along the major axis and protects textiles, while minimizing the total length of the system in confined work environments.

The Director Captive Eye is ideal for arborists, climbers, and industrial users who require a lightweight, versatile carabiner with a captive eye. It can be sewn, spliced, or tied directly into lanyards or systems, providing a textile-friendly and predictable connection. With DMM's shortest gate, generous curve in the loading area, and large gate opening, it is easy to handle even with gloves.

Features

  • Compact, lightweight, and versatile – Perfect for reducing system length in confined height scenarios
  • Designed for major axis loading – Ensures strongest orientation during use
  • Textile-friendly captive eye – Gentle on ropes and textiles, allows for fixed connection
  • "Rhino horn" – Keeps devices in the optimal loading area and prevents twisting
  • DMM's shortest gate – Extra short for maximum compactness
  • Hot-forged and CNC-machined – Highest quality aluminum for strength and low weight
  • Patented features – Unique DMM technology for superior performance
