The DMM Steel Oval Locksafe is an extremely strong and versatile carbon steel carabiner with a Locksafe triple-action gate. It is ideal for rope access, tree felling, industrial climbing, and all applications where high safety and durability are required.
The DMM Steel Oval Locksafe (product code C457) is made from cold-forged and fully heat-treated carbon steel with 10 mm barstock for an optimal combination of low weight and exceptional strength. Its oval shape ensures centered positioning of ropes, slings, pulleys, and other devices, minimizing unwanted movement and providing stable load distribution – an advantage over D-shaped carabiners.
The Locksafe gate requires three distinct movements to open, providing maximum security in demanding environments. The carabiner is zinc-plated according to EN ISO 2081:2008 Fe/Zn 5c for excellent corrosion protection, and each unit is individually marked for traceability.
