FTC Freexion

The FTC Freexion system is an adjustable friction device for tree climbing. It allows for smooth movement in all directions and adaptation to rope diameter and climber's weight.

FREEXION SYSTEM WITH SINGLE ATTACHMENT PULLEY

FREEXION SYSTEM WITH TRIPLE ATTACHMENT PULLEY

This set includes: the adjustable FREEXION unit with FREEXION TETHER and FREEXION HITCH, along with a triple attachment pulley (DMM Triple Attachment).

Our FREEXION energy dispersion system allows for ascent with a friction knot on a single rope, and movement in all directions (up/down/traverse).

It is CE certified and can be used with all EN 1891 ropes (Type A) with diameters from 11.5 mm to 12.5 mm. Its 3-position adjustment system (hard/medium/soft) allows you to modify the system's angle. You can also adjust and create more or less friction depending on rope diameter, climber's weight, or to adapt to the situation in the tree.

With a secured front piece opening, FREEXION can be installed mid-rope for easy setup. FREEXION is the first system of its kind that does not need to be removed from the rope or disassembled to change friction. You can change the friction at any time, in just a few seconds, or reduce the load on the friction knot: no tools needed, just simultaneously press both ends of a double button. It's so practical!

In the tree, you just need to change the position of the tether's pin to change FREEXION's friction and modify the braking.

For example: High up in large trees, with heavy rope weight, pull the tether to set the selector to soft mode and reduce friction. When the rope weight becomes lighter further down the tree, you can set it back to medium or hard and increase braking. You can climb in the morning with a dry rope in hard mode and in the rain switch to soft mode due to the slight diameter increase caused by weather changes.

It's so easy to set up that it will soon feel natural to modify braking as needed and without limitations.

Bonus: The FREEXION TETHER is designed with an extra loop to attach a carabiner and add extra friction during rescue. FREEXION's shape is developed for easy transition from SRT to DRT work. The unit can then be used to push the friction knot; no disassembly needed.

The system is very compact thanks to the short, flexible tether connection. During ascent, the system sits low and close to the body, providing an upright position and plenty of room for movement. The climber doesn't have to reach their hands high up.

The compactness of the FREEXION SYSTEM is an advantage for large lateral movements, combined with friction adjustment. It's easy to switch between SRT and DRT or reduce/increase friction to adapt to the work.
