Spike sender for Distel, Notch, Panther, Gecko

The KK Spikescender mounts directly to the shaft and guarantees flexible rope management. It keeps the climbing rope out of the way during SRT or MRT climbing.

Suitable for

This Spikesender 23 (with locking button) is suitable for:

• Panther: alloy and carbon fiber
• Distel: alloy and classic
• Gecko: alloy and carbon fiber
• Notch: alloy and carbon fiber

NOT suitable for

• Notch steel: The shaft blocks the locking button.
• New Distel carbon fiber (after 2021): The shaft is too wide. These have grooved shafts that require a spacer behind the SS23 to fill the space.

Important: If you use a spacer, the dynamics and feel of the spikes change significantly, as the spikes protrude an additional 10 mm towards the tree. The use of "short" or "polished" spikes mitigates this change.

Installation and use

The KK Spikescender bolts directly onto the shaft below the existing spike and is discreetly positioned at the heel, out of the way. It provides smooth slack rope management and keeps the climbing rope away from hazard zones during SRT or MRT ascent. Manufactured from aircraft-grade aluminum with a toothed titanium cam for exceptionally smooth operation compared to other foot ascenders on the market. The titanium cam is lightly tensioned to prevent knots in the rope during ascent. For use mounted on climbing spurs only.
