Description

The Notch Wear Safe steel friction ring is made from hot-forged steel and has a patented wear indicator for increased safety. Available in two sizes: small (28 x 52 mm) and large (48 x 72 mm), perfect for arborists who prioritise safety and rope friendliness.

Notch Wear Safe Steel Friction Rings are groundbreaking steel friction rings with patented Wear Safe™ technology. These rings offer a 33% larger bend radius to be gentle on the rope, are CNC-turned for a smooth and rope-friendly surface and feature the industry's first wear indicator – a red marking that shows when the ring should be retired. Made from hot-forged sandblasted steel with individual serial numbering for traceability. Enables safe use in arborist applications such as friction savers and fits perfectly for climbing lines.[1][2]

Features and benefits:

  • 33% larger bend radius: Reduces wear on the rope and preserves the rope's strength during use.
  • Patented wear indicator: The industry's first marking (red line) for easy inspection – replace when the marking is visible.
  • Hot-forged steel construction: High durability and strength with a sandblasted finish.
  • CNC-turned: Provides a smooth, even and extremely rope-friendly surface.
  • Individually serial numbered: For easy traceability and quality control.
  • Reduced outer profile: Optimised weight without compromising strength.
  • Meets ANSI Z133: Certified for professional arborist use.[1][2]
