Description

The Petzl Huit is a compact, lightweight figure of eight descender made from aluminium. It reduces rope twisting and can be used with ropes between 8 and 13 mm.

Product description

The Petzl Huit is a classic figure of eight descender with a square shape that effectively minimises rope twisting and prevents the formation of a girth hitch (knots that jam). It is ideal for abseiling, lowering and braking in climbing, canyoning and rescue operations. Its compact and lightweight construction makes it perfect for use in tough environments where weight and pack volume are decisive.

The small hole in the eight can be used for thin ropes or as a simple belay plate when needed. The Huit works optimally with ropes from 8 to 13 mm in diameter and is certified for high safety and reliability.
