Teufelberger TreeMotion Essential X
Description
Description
The Teufelberger TreeMotion Essential X is the entry model in the X series. You get exactly the same certified core harness as the Pro X, with sliding buckles instead of Cobra buckles and standard padding instead of comfort padding.
The Essential X sits on the same frame as the Pro X and carries every X-series upgrade: reinforced stitching at the gear loops, shorter and stiffer elastic bands, semi-matte anodised hardware and a label that sits protected inside the webbing. The double bridge is included, meaning both a longer bridge with a ring and a shorter one. The difference against the Pro X is in the buckles, the padding and the number of gear attachments, not in the harness itself or its certification.
The sliding buckles make the harness easier to set up if you are new to the TreeMotion, and they keep both weight and price down. If you move to Cobra buckles later you are not replacing the harness, you are changing model. The padding is interchangeable between Essential and Pro, so you can upgrade comfort on its own.

How it differs from the TreeMotion Pro X:
- Buckles: the Essential X has sliding buckles, the Pro X has Cobra quick-release buckles
- Padding: the Essential X has standard padding, the Pro X has comfort padding plus an extra set of standard padding
- Gear loops: the Essential X has 2x2, the Pro X has 2x3 plus 2x1 underneath
- The Essential X ships without the red elastic band that holds the harness together

How to measure: Measure your hip/waist horizontally around the hips in a natural position. Measure your thigh/leg loop around the thickest part of the thigh. All measurements are body measurements in centimetres.
